Google Maps review policy seems to be a lot more basic than their search algorithms are.For the record I do not and will not submit reviews under the following circumstances:1. If I have already provided a review unless there has been a substantial passage of time since the previous review or a change that warrants an update;2. If my visit occurred over 1 month ago;3. If I only passed by a place and didn't actually visit;4. If I only obtained directions to a place using google maps but have not actually visited the destination. After all what is the value in a fictitious review and lets face it Google tracks our location more efficiently than MI5 or GCHQ and should therefore know that I haven't visited the destination in question;5. If the place in question is a chain or franchise operation that can be found in more or less the same form in many locations in the UK or indeed the world. There is little point in providing lots of detail about something people can find anywhere on their High Street; and6. If the place is my place of work or a commercial premises that I have visited in the course of my work.Crealy Meadows falls into category 2 and as such does not benefit from a review or my time in preparing one, this standard text is provided simply to dismiss Googles repeated requests for me to submit a review.
When we arrived the lodge was dirty and uncleaned.. we reported this to reception who came quickly to inspectRather than re cleaning the property they did a 2 minute check and said sorry.Upon further inspection we found-a used plaster-toenails-2 dead flies-bins hadnt been emptied-carpets were dirty-food left in freezer from previous guest-blood/sick stains on toilet basin-stains on bed sheetsI might have been able to excuse some of the above but when we got to the clubhouse we were offered a choice of chips, onion rings or chicken goujons and that was it.All of the staff here are generally very nice but the above far outweighs any positivesDoes not live up to expectations and certainly isnt family friendly even though it should be, I even wonder if some reviews are possibly bought because its nowhere near a 4/5 star
Just come back from a Friday to Monday stay in one of the Crealy Meadow lodges with my wife and our four girls, accommodation was fantastic really good open plan living space, master bedroom was spacious and enough room comfortably for our travel cot, the hot tub was great and good for all the family, the site itself is very clean, well spaced out, reception were very helpful, clubhouse was very smart and tidy, food choice a little limited, the on site shop was a bit basic too, but overall brilliant and would stay here again and highly recommend to anyone.
Good quality safari tents with adequate space for six of us. Reasonable kitchen facilities, and clean shower/toilet blocks. Good layout to the site, with plenty of facilities such as play areas, club house and shop. We were very lucky with the weather
This was the 3rd time we visited Crealy Meadows, and it was great to see the additional facilities on the park (multi sports court and activities, Mini Golf and a Clubhouse for food and light entertainment). We very much enjoyed our week stay, the park is clean and staff are friendly. The park is located close to some very good beaches. Will use again.
