Went to The Hair Boutique to have my hair done booked in to have a balayage , was greated with a lovely girl on reception nice warm smile made me feel welcome. Salon was lovely clean , very modern . My hair was booked in to be done by Tia miller who was a lovely happy polite girl who explained what was going to be done to my hair , she done an amazing job made me feel beautiful. Tia done such an amazing job Ive re-booked in with her again and have recommended her to my friends and family
I've been a couple of times and the quality of the hairdressing is very high. However, I went for a free consultation about colouring my hair and they forced me to book an appointment, quoting me over 200 and demanding I pay a deposit even though I hadn't confirmed I wanted to have the colouring now I had learned my options. I completely understand that this is how expensive the kind of thing I wanted was, but I didn't appreciate the pressure I was put under - as a person with anxiety this made me pretty uncomfortable.
Not been impressed at all with the recent correspondence or customer service. To explain the context, I live overseas and can only get back to the UK about once a year. As I wanted a colour, I appreciate a consultation is important, but asked for flexibility to confirm or even pencil in the actual appointment as I didnt want to miss my chance in a short trip. I was basically told there was no flexibility, no chance to try and make things work, and given no understanding (or even kindly worded) options. I had a great experience here on my last trip back in 2017, but reading recent reviews it seems like other people have found the customer service has taken a downturn recently - which is a real shame.
Hair is a tricky thing especially when transforming dark to light. First experience was wonderful. Second experience was great but my hair decided to freak out, problems happen its not always the stylists error. But heres where the this salon excels the confidence calm and expertise to fix a problem when it occurs. Great customer service gives you the confidence.Thank you
