Martin let us down badly. On June 10th he quoted for decorating our whole house to start at the end of July, beginning of August. He went round the house digging out rotten parts of the windows during the process of quoting. On July 22nd he emailed to say he couldn't do the work this summer. That has left us in the position of trying to find someone else at short notice before the summer is over. Many good decorators have full order books by now and so there is a chance we will not be able to find someone and also be left with exposed wood in places where he had tested for repairs.
