Found this watering hole by mistake at a lunchtime. Warm welcome and a good pint with the added luxury of comfy leather sofas. Perfect stop during z shopping trip.
It's places like John Gandys that make you glad that 20 pubs a week are going out of business. I just hope they're next. No real drink choices if you don't like either lager or cider (not a single draught beer, bitter or ale) and grossly overpriced as well. So if your idea of fun is paying 14 for the pleasure of drinking 3 small bottles of fizzy piss whilst sitting on a ripped and dirty sofa then head on down to this place.Or, more sensibly,, avoid like the plague.
Always a good night in Gandys, cocktails upstairs are alright, basic bar and often some good music downstairs, don't need much more besides some drunk mates for a good time
