Fascinating, it's about the early history of cinema, although not about films. For those interested in photography and the moving image, well worth a visit and an easy walk from the station or city centre. An absorbing visit and the staff always helpful.

Small but informative museum set in the old library of Exeter uni

It has some nice memorabilia, with a few interactive items but you'd probably only want to spend 30mins here.

A lovely little free museum. Free to visit on the University campus. Took kids ages 9, 10 & 12 years they had fun learning about the moving picture through a selection of toys they could handle and play with. Took about an hour to look around. Cabinets with displays and a information book you can borrow with more info. Parking on roadside and pay at machine. Visited in summer so no students about.

The curator was everso welcoming. Let's hope the university can continue to subsidise this landmark of a tourist attraction - largest UK archive of film industry material
