Nice rest of old chapel

St Catherine's Chapel is a Grade II Listed Building in the centre of Exeter. The Chapel was built alongside the former Almshouses and is the most striking part of the ruins. Originally a two-storey building it is still standing to its full height, though of very small dimensions (about 6m by 3m) and now with no roof or windows. The Chapel eventually fell out of use and was later used as a carpenter's shop. The whole structure was destroyed by fire 4 May 1942 and the ruins remain as a War Memorial.

This is a wonderful part of Exeter. Just behind the center of town. Just a special place to visit and gain and understanding of how the church influencing life in Exeter. I found this to be fascinating. I think you will enjoy this spot
