Awful night. My bank card and ID got stolen. They wouldnt let me get my bag back which had loose change I needed to get home as dont live in Exeter. They also wouldnt give my coat. Really disappointed. Rude and unhelpful bouncers. The woman at the Cloak room was rude and shouted at me.

If anyone asks me does Exeter have good nightlife I say no, it has Timepiece. Now hold your pitchforks and torches before this comment incites a riot, of the proportions predicted by the Kaiser Chiefs, let me make myself abundantly clear son, I love this place, I love it like I love peeling off a scab or forcibly removing ingrown toenails, I love to hate it but in a way that's still a form of love just ask my ex-girlfriend. Now I come in here because I've got no hobbies, no hopes, no dreams and no expectations and that's where Timepiece fits the bill, have no expectations and you'll get on in here just fine sunshine. There used to be a time when I'd swagger in like the Jimmy Giant Gangooglies that I am and order several, and when I say several I mean bare, jagerbombs. Get them expensive jagerbombs down you bruv and the night begins, I'd sway there in a drunken stupor thinking "I've done it again, I've spent 50 knicker on jagerbombs and I'm wobbling in a way that can only be described as the motion a deer makes when it regains its balance after being smacked by a lorry and staggers back into the forest to find a more comfortable place to die" I love this place. But it was exactly this behaviour that stopped me from drinking myself to oblivion and it was then I started to come to Timepiece sober. That my friends is when I started to see Timepiece for what it truly is, a sort of alchopoppy-bodilyfluidy smelling purgatory. Though the horrors I have seen in this place will haunt my nightmares until I pass on to the big Timepiece in the sky, I wouldn't have it any other way. If you're in Exeter you have to go to Timepiece and not just because you have no choice if you want a night out of any substance but because it is its own spectacle mate. My love affair with Timepiece in essence is in and of itself a metaphor for my previous love affairs (and this kind of belief is probably why I'll be forever alone, but hey you think I'm perfect right? right?) taking everything into account its pretty average, it fills that hole in your heart that you can't fill due to years of self-loathing and self-destruction, it looks a little funny but thats alright because its just your type and who cares what your friends think, it smells a little and you know you learn to love that in a way or at the very least you never bring it up because that's just rude and will hurt their feelings, but finally and most importantly it will suffocate the life and soul out of you if you're not careful but its okay because you'll come back stronger next week with open arms and make those same mistakes over and over and over again because you know deep down you're an awful person and this is exactly what you deserve. 5/5 Will come here every weekend until the day I leave Exeter because there's nothing better than wobbling away on the dance floor in here thinking "all the choices I've made in my life have brought me here and I regret every single one".

Used to come here fairly regularly about a decade ago and recently ended up here at the end of a night out. It's improved greatly over the years and the outdoor area with bar and food is a great way to end the night.

Timepiece is a really great club to go to in Exeter! There is a great outside area, as well as a couple floors (which you pay to go into), and a bottom floor which is free entry. The only thing about Timepiece is that it is usually packed, so there will be people constantly touching you or pushing past you. However, if you've had enough drinks, you don't really mind!

Really cant thank the staff enough for their 10/10 response to a complaint of sexual assault. After telling a bouncer I was quickly taken aside and identified on CCTV by my top and the guy who assaulted me was tracked down. Whether he was actually kicked out or not I dont know but their response and effort to go through cctv footage was more than any club has ever done. Thank you :)
