We stayed from last Thursday to Sunday the staff were very polite friendly and very helpful the rooms were very comfortable and immaculate we would definitely stay there again and recommend them
A very comfortable stay. We had a accessible room which was very big and easy to move around. The only negative aspects were...a) they door key was very difficult, need help getting into the room.. b)the room is ground floor, which was nice however, it was next to the loading area, so early morning deliveries were quite noisy!..and c) the shower was very hard to turn on. But overall it was a great stay...staff very helpful and easy access to the pub! Will definitely go back.
Stayed here a few times. Staff usually helpful and friendly. Toby Carvery excellent food and value. However our stay this time was spoiled by the lack of air conditioning. To be fair the weather was extremely hot. Nevertheless the upstairs room was almost unbearable. Plus we had to buy our own cooling fan because they had run out. That's why only 4 stars.
Quiet room number 231 end of corridor but we had a ladybird infestation ! Decor was a little tatty in places but clean. Toby carvery needed a good clean though, woodwork was dusty and seats a bit dirty. Breakfast was staring to be cleared away before 10am so get there early. We ate in the pub Saturday night and it was really busy so best book and go later as it gets quieter. Best meet Carver I have seen working there ! Would go back as continental breakfast included in price of room. Free parking mean it was easy to use park and ride at sowton to get into town. Customer service was good except the breakfast waitress who made me feel I was an inconvenience to her routine, get a grip, it's not worth losing customers over! We would stay again as long as we had a quiet room. I'm guessing the rooms in the corridors might not be as quiet as the one we were in.
Could be better. You get what you pay for. Cleanliness not its strength, needs some work. Update: xtra star. As I have said before, I am always super impressed by the fact that there are companies that are reading the reviews and actually want your feedback. I appreciate that.
