I'm upping the stats on my review, beecher of you go on a Sunday, the carvery is great! Good value, good food and really attentive chef. Veggies and vegans catered for. Weekday menu, when the head chef isn't in, needs work.
First time I've been in this pub in over 20 years!! Pleasantly surprised.... warm and welcoming. Would quite happily go again.
I stayed overnight. It is well placed, clean and convenient. I economies and went for a room without ensuite facilities but the shared bathrooms were fine. Tea, coffee, croissant and biscuits are provided. Easy to recommend for a good value stay.
Lovely very compact and comfortable room with ensuite. A chair and table would have been more useful than a wardrobe and chest of draws for a one night stay. Wish I could have stuck around for the breakfast at 10am
The joy of this place is it's close to the Imperial and Exeter College, has a varied menu and does 241 cocktails.Staff were very friendly and there were more free tables on a Saturday night than other city centre pubs. Prices are good and there's outside seating.
